Maryland

Progress is being made.

When I took my very first Conceal Carry class another a student in the class, a lawyer, told me neither DC or Maryland would ever, ever, ever change or loosen their gun laws. It looks like he may be wrong about that. Fingers crossed!

  1. I said to New Jovian Thunderbolt…I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the next 14 days…

*bounces up and down excitedly* I’m so happy I could just pop!

    • I am crossing my fingers too. I think it’s great for Maryland, but as I told a new friend last night, each step forward in any state is positive for gun owners everywhere. Might even influence DC:)

      • It is interesting, the woman who sold me my first gun said she doubted MD would change the laws in her lifetime. I’m just flabbergasted that things are moving so fast.

No doubt MD will say “Ok, we will be “Shall Issue” – but restrict the carry to only certain calibers, or certain classes of handguns. Even if they require all to attend and pass a handgun safety class – I won’t be surprised if MD works to make it as difficult as possible.

  2. so what you’re saying is Alan Gura wasn’t the lawyer in question? 😛
