Time To Plant The Seeds

I stole that title from Sean.

Sean has planned an Appleseed trip and he has invited us all to come along.

My husband and I are taking him up on that offer and we both are very excited.  This will be our first time, so I am nervous, but I have heard great things about the event and the people who put it on, plus I get to make Sean look at my tats, so its a win-win.

For more information go here.

Hope to see you all there.

  1. Have a good time. Go with an open mind and be willing to learn.

Advil is your best friend. Seriously. Take two with breakfast on Saturday, two more with lunch, and a couple before bed. Repeat on Sunday.

I have shot at a couple or three and used to be an Appleseed instructor. If you have any questions, feel free to ping me.

    • can i use my mosin at one of these? my .22’s are either lever action or single shot – wife has a marlin 336 but lets face it – using a lever in the prone sucks

  2. Thanks ZerCool! One thing I can promise is that I will have an open mind and I am most certainly willing to learn!

Appreciate the Advil advice:) I will add that to my packing list.

  3. If ever there was an excuse to buy a 10/22 and drop some Tech-Sites on it… 😀

Have fun, I need to find one for MandaFern and I to go to one of these days.

  4. Soooo fun!!
A friend dragged me to one last summer, and it was awesome! Do you have your sling and stuff all together already?

Can’t wait to hear your story! 🙂

  5. If I’m off from work either day, I might have to show up – now that I know you’ll be there. I live less than an hour from Ramseur. Maybe I can get a look at your tats. 😉

  6. Jenny, I do not have a single thing ready to take…lol. A friend of mine, my CC instructor actually, offered to let me use his gear. He is very familiar with Appleseed, so he said he will take care of me. I am excited. Glad to hear you had a good time!

    Keads-YEA! Can’t wait.

alskan454-I would love it, if you came.

I am getting very excited now!

  7. As a (semi retired now) Appleseed instructor…. (had to step down for a while, too much going on in life… but might just pick it back up now that things have calmed down. )

I’m very happy to hear you’re going. Appleseed is a great program, that not only teaches the how’s of marksmanship. But the why’s. Why it’s important. Why it was so critical that we were a nation of riflemen (and yes, women) at the time of the Revolutionary War. The people that made a huge impact during the founding moments of our nation.

Yes, there are people out there who don’t like AS. Personally, I’ve yet to hear a truly VALID reason…
