As I learn about guns, gun laws and all the issues that are associated with guns, I am finding that the opinions by the layman as well as the “experts” are vast and often contradictory. I was required to watch this video by the instructor that taught my first conceal carry for self defense class. As a person who has always viewed the police with the utmost respect and appreciation, I felt an internal sense of contradiction inside myself. I trust law enforcement and I view them as an asset to my safety and to the safety of our society, but I have to admit this professor was very convincing and in a world where our civil liberties are being limited and our rights are being striped, I began to wonder, if perhaps, this attitude would not one day benefit me, if God forbid, I ever had to use my weapon is self defense.
