  2. Many thanks and our eternal gratitude to those who paid the final price to ensure that freedom continued. :salute:

  3. It is difficult to come up with words for those that made the ultimate sacrifice and for the families they left that must bear that sacrfifice. Thank you.

  4. God Bless our Veterans, past, present and future, and special blessings for the families of those who made the ultimate sacrafice.

  5. Even though I’m an Aussie I like to take the opportunity at this time of the year when your Remembrance Day come around to thank your countrymen for the sacrifices you’ve made on our behalf here in the Asia Pacific area during the last war. Thank you.

    • Agreed. Did some submarine ops with Aussies back in the day, out of the Perth/Freemantle area. Gotta say, I’ve got nuttin but respect for the Australian and the British troops. So, when most servicemen/women here in the states salute “veterans” in general…you can pretty much take it for granted that we’re including non-American troops in that. Major wars are never won alone.

  6. Only luck tracking down more info on Billy?

I’ve hit a wall tracking down more on my namesake.

    • I was able to contact the library in Homewood and they said they will send me some clippings, but I have yet to receive them.

I think about this all the time, but just haven’t had the time to dedicate to it, but I am making a little progress.

Sorry, you have it a wall…so frustrating.
